Lock Box Program
The lock box program was put into place to provide emergency access for MAFD during non-business hours while allowing the premises to remain secure. Pre-Fire Plan
Historically fire districts have only been able to document commercial and high occupancy structures in the pre-incident planning. Modern tools and methods have improved our ability to gather pertinent information quickly and display it in ways which allow for on-scene decisions based on accurate knowledge. The computer is the primary tool which allows this information to be available at the scene of an incident regardless of size or location.
A new concept of including all structures within the fire district is the ultimate goal. Security of information is our primary goal as the program is expanded. Printed documents will be stored in offices that only officers of the fire district have access, while computer storage will be password protected.
Owners and occupants of each commercial structure or residential home will be required to give written consent to the information obtained during a pre-incident survey. They will also be provided a copy of the completed pre-plan. Revisions will be preceded by a signed document.
The program is voluntary and Mt. Angel Fire District in no way guarantees a higher level of life or property safety.
Our Pre-Incident Planning simply asks you to fill in the blanks to answer questions about your home or business. We encourage the whole family to contribute and become involved when completing a residential plan. The Mt. Angel Fire District welcomes your questions and will provide any assistance you may need to complete the form and a floor plan sketch.
